Videographer and activist, Enrique Ramirez was born in 1979 in Santiago (Chile). The sea is a recurring subject in his work, full of meaning and history. His creations express an obligation of memory, both personal and national, oscillating between political commitment and poetry.
Enrique Ramirez will voyage aboard the schooner sometime in 2018, and plans to make a series of films and photographs depicting the history of the Pacific, Latin-American but also global.
Through his work aboard Tara, he intends to approach the Pacific as a space where science becomes an integral part of ocean politics, and thus develop a deep reflection concerning maritime laws.
